beryllia_jinni The only thing this album has to do with Virt's other albums is how AWESOME it is. Beyond that, he's gone above and beyond to try out a completely different genre.
Usually people get OSTs because the game's good, but I'm the other way around! Favorite track: Theme of the Past.

ShiningArrow1701 Great fun album, reminds me very much of the spirit of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. Favorite track: Traveling Theme.

Betonbat One more example of Sponge Jake's extraordinary musical versatility--quite some Gold nuggets to uncover in this Western-inspired soundtrack! Favorite track: Saloon Rag.

SkyArcher I still have to understand how Virt managed to perfectly balance the mood between Final Fantasy and Ennio Morricone. This soundtrack, despite "limited" to the SNES chip, surely gets its place among the best OSTs I ever heard. Favorite track: Doc's Theme - The Mysterious Stranger.

about

The original soundtrack from 2014's Wild West Smash Hit, BOOT HILL HEROES! A dual love-letter to the Super Nintendo RPGs of yesteryear, and to the Spaghetti Western genre, Boot Hill Heroes features a heartfelt, beautifully written story, engaging characters, and an innovative combat system that can be played co-op or solo.

This soundtrack represents probably the most difficult musical challenge I have faced; adhere to the limitations of the SNES' SPC-700 synth chip, while evoking both the Final Fantasy 6 / Earthbound sound AND the haunting Old West film scores of Ennio Morricone and Luis Bacalov. It took over two years to complete, and now you can enjoy it wherever you are!

Please do me a favor and support the developer, Experimental Gamer, by buying the game if you like the music. It's currently available on Vita through PlayStation Mobile, and it's our hope that it will reach other platforms soon as well.
